About Us
Habitat for Humanity of Chester County builds and sells newly constructed homes to qualified families and individuals who live or work in Chester County and meet the program qualifications. Our home buyers purchase their homes with affordable mortgages and pay taxes on the full values of their homes. We also operate a ReStore that sells gently used goods to generate funding to build more affordable homes. Through these programs, we help our neighbors build strength, stability, and independence through homeownership.
Volunteer
There is more to volunteering than just swinging a hammer! Habitat offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups. More than 160 Chester County families have realized their dream of safe, affordable homeownership, which was made possible because of the hard work and dedication of our volunteers! Habitat ReStores are home improvement stores where gently-used and new furniture, appliances, building materials, and more are sold to improve your home, community, and environment. ReStores are open to the public and supported by our local community through shopping, donating, and volunteering. Proceeds from the ReStores benefit the construction of Habitat homes in Chester County.
