A Letter from Our Director, Chip Huston
First and foremost, welcome to the Habitat for Humanity of Chester County website. I am hoping that while you are here you will look around, see what it is that we do for the residents of Chester County and see if there is something you can do to help.
In the event you aren’t sure where to begin, a good first option is volunteering. Please be warned that you may leave at the end of the day a bit sore, more knowledgeable about house construction and a bit tired, but it’s a wonderful way to get involved. What makes it is so appealing is that you decide the amount of time (one day, once a week, or even once a month – it’s up to you!) that you are able to donate and you choose the location that works best for you. What also is nice is that you are able to work alongside skilled craftsmen as well as the future homeowners. Simply putting it, it’s a lot of fun!
On the other hand, if you aren’t interested in volunteering, but you are interested in becoming a homeowner, we also have information to help those requests as well. We, as a team as well as an organization, are here to help. Not only have we been building houses for the over 25 years, we’ve been improving the lives of the homeowners as well as shaping communities and inspiring volunteers. Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to giving a hand up and not a hand out. And in the event you haven’t had the opportunity to spend a day on our job site, give us a call. We’d love to have you.
Thank you for your interest in Habitat for Humanity of Chester County and please let us know how we can help you!
