There is more to volunteering than just swinging a hammer! Habitat offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups. To date, 154 Chester County families have realized their dream of safe, affordable homeownership, which was made possible because of the hard work and dedication of our volunteers! Businesses and corporations are invited to host a Team Build Day at our construction site for a morning of working together on a large scale project. We ask for a minimum of 5 people with lunch provided. This is a great team building exercise for coworkers while giving back to the community!
Come out and volunteer for the quintessential Habitat experience! Our construction team is building year-round, rain or shine, Tuesday to Saturday. Come out for one day a year, a day a week, or anywhere in between! No experience is necessary and tools are provided. We invite groups and indivduals 16 years and older to join us for a day of volunteering!
There’s more than one way to build a house! The ReStore is a thrift store that sells gently-used and new furniture, appliances, cabinets, building supplies, and other household items to benefit the construction of Habitat houses. From helping with incoming and outgoing donations to assisting customers and setting up displays, there are many ways to help in the ReStore.
Looking to fulfill community service hours? Habitat for Humanity welcomes individuals who are seeking at least nine hours of community service whether it be for educational, scouting, court, or other purposes. Please note that we do not accept court-mandated volunteers with an offense of theft, assault, or other related charges.
Youth who are eager to support Habitat’s mission don’t have to wait until 16 years of age to volunteer. Youth can get started today to help make homeownership a reality for all!
